RoxiRock; Rakisha and Raquel Wilson, born and raised in Jamaica; grew up in a musical environment singing background vocals in the studio from an early age with their dad Rappa Robert (aka Musical Sniper).
Many influences played a part in their love of all genre of music. Being constantly around musicians and artists, and the sound systems on the streets of Jamaica playing; Dennis Brown, Marcia Griffiths, and Beres Hammond; are some of their earliest musical memories still influencing them today.

Big Footsteps To Follow
As the daughters of the legendary Rapper Robert, AKA Musical Sniper, who had many mega hits with his musical partner Tippa Lee in the 1980’s, the sisters admit that they have some big shoes to fill following in their father’s footsteps, but they are more than ready to step up to the challenge.
“Our father’s first love is Reggae Music. We love it too, but we want to make our own way in the industry, to create our own style, our own brand, not to have people look at us as the daughters of Rappa Robert and give us a pass. We don’t want that. We want to make it on our own and we are willing to work hard for it. That’s why you see us in the studio everyday grinding, perfecting our craft. In the early days we tried Reggae but it didn’t work for us. Our sound is different, a kind of Pop-Reggae-R & B Fusion.”
