White Mice New Album – Wicked Plan
The Legendary singer from the 80’s era, White Mice AKA Ras IWA is back with a strong album – Wicked Plan. Recording at King Jammy’s and Channel One in the late 80s, with his brother Blemo and Junior Delgado at the controls, Mice let off a series of records amongst the very deadliest of digital reggae including the International Number One Hit Song – “True Love.”
This new album is an heartfelt social commentary album and suits White Mice’s voice perfectly. Music is produced by his brother “Courtney ‘Blemo’ Crichton” who is the CEO at Intelitec Music and The Crichton Clique Worldwide.
Born in 1970, in Montego Bay, Jamaica, Allan Crichton aka White Mice is a graduate of three sound systems — Sugar Minott’s Youthman Promotion, Jammy’s Hi Power, and his hometown Ticka Muzik. His brother “Courtney ‘Blemo’ Crichton” had him singing and recording from a very early age. His first break came at Sun Splash in 1985, when he and Little Kirk were called on stage to perform with Tenor Saw.
Time Tested And Approved
It has been over thirty years ago now when that White Mice solid debut single called True Love, from Courtney “Blemo” Crichton and the Intelitec Music Camp for a singer with a most unusual voice from the sweetest place on earth dropped. Though I was impressed with what I heard coming from the mouth of such a youthful entertainer, I am still amazed and equally impressed now that I am still listening to White Mice’s music all of these years later. Mice has grown into someone whose music is held in high esteem in the Reggae Music Circle Worldwide.
His name is one just a handful of others (one of which definitely appears on this album) whom music lovers fairly frequently find themselves just looking up to see if they’ve missed anything in the way of new releases because they are convinced that anything that they drop is at least worth hearing and, potentially, downright special. He is one of the genre’s heaviest of hitters in terms of actual quality, at least as far as music lovers are concerned.

Mice is back on their grind with the release of this new album which is delightful project. Intelitec Music has also been working on remastering and re-releasing quite a bit of White Mice’s outstanding back catalogue as well, and when you really begin to get into the work that he has done over the years, it is damn impressive!
It’s been business as usual as it has seemingly always been for Intelitec Music. Listening through Wicked Plan did several things for me. It made me nostalgic at times and it also continued to build upon the outstanding new material that we had heard just ahead of the album’s release.
It’s good to see white mice going strong after all these years. I met him in high school – were in the same class in Montego Bay, he was always singing. He told me he was going to be famous someday he believe it and it happens. All the best white mice.

In regards to the album’s announcement and per-release attention, Wicked Plan has been unsurprisingly impressive. I suppose it’s becoming more of a concern of an older era (where we routinely saw albums from big artists on decent labels which went entirely overlooked by all besides a dedicated handful of us) as we see a respectable level of publicity garnered prior to these releases more often these days.
Even with that being said, however, even before laying ears on it, I knew that Wicked Plan came from a first-class design; featuring a number of songs ahead of the release date and a steady reminder of what was to come. Thankfully the music does not let it down at all.
I would place the release in the upper portion of the catalogue of the artist. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the quality of this one, like several of its predecessors, only get better with time. If he has shown nothing throughout his career, White Mice has well demonstrated a ‘rising durability’. His music not only ages well – it seems to get stronger. Wicked Plan will be more of the same within a career which has been so much fun to watch, looking back, and is as “strong” today as ever. Well done.
