Faraji Release New Three Song EP Come Again

Faraji has brought his new three-song EP, Come Again, to streaming services. Listen below.

Come Again was originally released as an Asani Ali exclusive on May 27th. Along with its digital release today, the EP will receive a wider physical release on vinyl and CD come Friday, May 30th.

The collection comprises songs that will be a part of his upcoming album which is being produced by the Groove Galore Production Team comprising of Paul Kastick, Norris Webb and Asani Ali.  “We think they fit in with the image we are trying to project for Faraji, each song fit in a little world of their own,” says Paul Kastick of the Groove Galore Team. “To us, they are all kind of scuzzy and spacious, and live in the spirit realm. It’s not really where we are currently going, but it’s definitely somewhere we have been. We hope you enjoy these tunes.”

Meet Faraji

FARAJI is a soul singer forged in the smooth reggae riddims of his native Jamaica and steeped in the sultry R&B of New York City. Produced by world-renowned drummer-producer, Paul Kastick of GrooveGalore Productions/Native Xamaycan MuziK (Maxi Priest, Tessane Chin, Tanya Stephens) and legendary duo, Sly & Robbie, Faraji is a talented singer-songwriter with a honeyed voice. Winner of the World Championships of Performing Arts “Best Male Vocalist” Award (Burbank, California), his skillful layering of smoky vocals over heat-inducing lyrics ignites love’s passionate flame in the hearts and minds of his listeners. Faraji’s upcoming video, “Sensimilla Love” featuring Miss Jamaica World, Gina Hargitay is guaranteed to turn up the heat!

Born in Kingston, Faraji spent his childhood soaking up the reggae rhythms that permeate daily life in Jamaica. He began singing at just eight years old and seized every opportunity he could to perform and grow as an artist. While in his teens, Faraji’s family relocated to the Bahamas, which provided him an opportunity to experience other forms of Caribbean music. The family later immigrated to the United States, settling in the New York City area, where he fell deeply in love with the local soul and r&b scene.

Return To Jamaica

Over the next several years, Faraji returned frequently to Jamaica, forming what would become a long-term musical partnership with his close friend, Paul Kastick. In 2006, after catching the attention of festival executives, Faraji was offered the much coveted honor of headlining Jamaica’s world-famous, Reggae SunSplash Festival. In 2007, he released his first official single, a reggae cover of “Careless Whisper”, which was produced by Paul Kastick. Faraji has since headlined and performed at an impressive list of events such as, Jamaica Fashion Week, Jamaica Jazz and Blues, Women’s Impact Conference: Jazz in the Gardens (Miramar, Florida), Miss Jamaica World (Kingston, Jamaica), SpringSplash (Cayman Islands) and Shell Stadium (Hawaii) He has shared the stage with Maxi Priest, Millie Jackson, Kenny Lattimore, Jagged Edge and Howard Hewett (Shalimar), and performed at many prestigious venues including, Webster Hall and the Apollo Theater in New York.

Television Show

Faraji has been featured on Smile Jamaica (TVJ), and endorsed by Jamaica’s top radio and television personalities, Simon Crosskill (TVJ) and Paula-Anne Porter (RJR 94 FM). He has collaborated with multi-Grammy nominated producer, Stephen “Di Genius” McGreggor as well as Jamaican superstars, SizzlaI-Wayne, and Sidney Mills (Steel Pulse). Faraji was recently featured in Earth Tremma’s video, “Love You”. His singles, “Come Again”, “Don’t Falter”, “Rastafari Chanting” and “Loving You”, which are played widely throughout Jamaican underground DJ circles, can also be heard on Sirius Radio and various international stations. Faraji currently divides his time between Jamaica and New York, collaborating with top international artists and producers. Now, after years of releasing singles, he is finally preparing a full-length album –a steamy mixture of soul, r&b and Lover’s Rock which features his stellar songwriting skills and promises to fan the fire!

I Know, I Know, I Know, I Know Oh. Whoo Ho Ho Ho Hooo. Ooh, Whoo Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Hooo.
Behold he shall come again, the future has been written, there will be a coming of a Black King, a Black King, revelations have told me so. Behold he shall come again, the future has been written, there will be a coming of a Black King, A Black King, too long in bondage so this I know.

How I make it some don’t know, but I reap the seeds I sow. I know it’s hard for some to see, where life sometimes lead. Because of their atrocities, pick up the Gleaner and the headlines reads, shots ah fire some little children bleeds, because of politicians selfish greed.

Behold he shall come again, the future has been written, there will be a coming of a Black King, a Black King, revelations have told me so. Behold he shall come again, the future has been written, there will be a coming of a Black King, A Black King, too long in bondage so this I know.

Sometimes you see that there’s a smile on my face, little do you know that there’s no food on my plate, still yet am kept by amazing grace, cause I don’t walk by sight, I walk by fate.
Whole lot a people just a gwan like they don’t know, about the King of Kings and who he is, miracles of Jah internally it shows, you can tell it by the coming of my skin so behold.

Behold the future has been written, there will be a coming of a Black King, a Black King, revelations have told me so. Behold he shall come again, the future has been written, there will be a coming of a Black King, A Black King, too long in bondage so this I know.

I know it’s hard to walk the righteous route, I know it’s hard when you don’t have Jah within.
I know it’s hard for evil doers to see, so take some advice from me, you gotta repent on your knees.

Behold he shall come again, the future has been written, there will be a coming of a Black King, a Black King, revelations have told me so. Behold he shall come again, the future has been written, there will be a coming of a Black King, A Black King, too long in bondage so this I know.
